Comments and Tips:

As of July 10, 2011 the lake will be taken over by an independent contractor. The Golden Age passes are no longer accepted. There is a 5$ charge for entry. They have boat rentals, free launching and a small restaurant/store in operation. The creek area is closed....so sad. There's some real nice Brown Trout and Bookies up the canyon. It can be very dangerous up there so don't go in alone if you decide to try and sneak in from the LaCanada side. There's lots of Rattlesnakes, Bobcats,Cougars and other wildlife in that area. It's a rough place and you can get in trouble easily. Take a GPS with you and a Cell phone as well, even if you are an accomplished hiker. They have Security people that occasionally patrol the dirt roads up there. (and they fish!). The road doesn't follow the creek. The creek lays East of the road out of sight. The Security guys were bragging about 5lb. Browns up there. BS? I fished up there from Boy Scouts to the closure. I would never advocate breaking the law......:) Bob

Last time I went to Littlerock there was no entrance fee, there is a “booth” at the only entrance/exit but it’s not manned anymore, one can just drive in find a spot and go to it. There is also Koi fish located here as someone has put them in there.
