Peck Road Park Lake

      From Los Angeles take I-10 East to Peck Rd. in El Monte and go North approximately 3 miles to the park entrance. (626) 334-1065.


General Info:

    This is one of the larger city lakes in SoCal consisting of 80 surface acres. It is actually an old gravel pit which was converted to a park by the LA County Dept. of Parks and Recreation. The park is open year-round. Winter hours are 7am-4pm (October 1 – April 30), Summer Hours are 7am-6pm (May 1 – September 30). There are numerous picnic tables and bbq's available.

Fishing Info:

    The California DFG stocks rainbow trout from Fall through early Spring and catfish during the Summer months. There are also largemouth bass, bluegill and carp in here. Best fishing is usually on either sides of the point which connects the two large bodies of water. Be sure to visit the CDFW web site for complete regulations before heading out.
