     Crystal lake is located in the Angeles National Forest near the city of Azusa. From Los Angeles take I-10 East to the 605 frwy. North. Go East on hwy. 210 and exit Azusa Canyon Rd. (hwy. 39) North about 27 miles into the mountains.


General Info:

This is a small mountain lake of 7 surface acres set at an elevation of 5,600 feet. It is one of the few natural lakes in Southern California, formed by an ancient rockslide. It is open year round, sunrise to sunset. Entrance fee is $3 per vehicle. Camping is available and there are many hiking trails surrounding the lake. Swimming is not allowed. The lake got it's name because of the crystal clear water it is filled with. Crystal Lake Cafe - (626) 910-1029

Boating Info:

    Only hand-carried paddle or electric boats allowed. Float tubes are OK.


Fishing Info:

    The California DFG stocks rainbow trout from Fall through early Spring. There are also largemouth bass, bluegill, and catfish in here. Be sure to visit the CDFW web site for complete regulations before heading out.
