Brite Valley Lake is located in Kern County in the city of Tehachapi. From Los Angeles, take I-5 North to Hwy. 14 North. Go west on hwy. 58 to Tehachapi. Exit Tehachapi Blvd, go west to Dennison Rd. the turn left. Turn right on Highline Rd. The lake will be on your left.

General Info:

The lake is open year round. Entrance fee is $5 per vehicle. Camping is permitted on a first come, first served basis. No body contact with the water is allowed.

Boating Info:

There is a boat launch available for $10 per day or annual pass for $30. Electric motors only.

Fishing Info:

Fishing permits are $5 per day. The lake is stocked with rainbow trout from Winter through early Spring and catfish during the Summer months. There are also bluegill, largemouth bass, crappie, and carp in here. Be sure to visit the CDFW web site for complete regulations before heading out.
