From Los Angeles take I-5 South to Beach Blvd. (39). Turn left (north) and travel several miles to Rosecrans Ave. Turn right and the park will be on your right at the top of the hill.
General Info:
The park offers picnic tables, bbq's, children's play equipment and ball diamonds. It is open from: Nov. 1 - March 31, 7:00am to 6:00pm, April 1 - Oct. 31, 7:00am to 9:00pm.
Vehicle entrance fees are as follows:
Monday - Friday $2.00 per entry.
Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays - $4.00 per entry.
Fishing Info:
The California DFG stocks rainbow trout from Winter through early Spring and catfish during the Summer months. There are also largemouth bass and bluegill in here. Be sure to visit the CDFW web site for complete regulations before heading out.
Comments and Tips:
I like to fish for catfish at this small lake, there is almost no action unitl after sunset and the park closes at 9:00 SHARP (the rangers are not friendly. ALWAYS get at least one fish every eve. usually 12-14 in. I have not fished for bass here, but the water is very clear and I see them everytime I go. Peace...
