Lake Lopez

6800 Lopez Drive

Lake Lopez is located in San Luis Obispo County, approx. 10 miles northeast of the town of Arroyo Grande. From Hwy. 101 at Arroyo Grande, exit Grand Ave and go East. Turns into Branch St. Veer Right on Huasna Rd., turns into Lopez Dr. Follow to the lake.

The lake consists of 950 surface acres and 22 miles of shoreline. It is open year-round. Full hook-up RV and tent camping is allowed. Water-skiing and swimming are allowed in designated areas. Boating Info:

There is a public launch ramp and a full service marina with fishing boats, pontoons, canoes, kayaks and jet-skis for rent. Float-tubing is permitted. Marina (805) 489-1006.

Fishing Info:

Rainbow trout are stocked during the winter months. There are also largemouth bass, catfish, crappie, red-ear sunfish and bluegill here. Minimum bass size is 12 inches.

This is a very good bass lake. Although most are small (under 4 pounds) they are plentiful. The numerous coves, points and underwater structure make excellent habitat for these fish.
