La Mirada Lake is located aprox. 20 miles south of the city of Los Angeles. From Interstate 5, exit south on Rosecrans and go East to La Mirada Blvd. Turn Left and go to Alicante, turn Right.

General Info:
This is a small, urban lake located within the La Mirada Regional Park. It is open daily, 6am to sunset. Parking is free. There is a frisbee disc course, playgrounds, tennis and handball courts. (800) 404-5888
Fishing Info:
The California DFG stocks the lake with rainbow trout during the Winter through early Spring and catfish during the Summer. There is also a kid's catfish derby here every year and the lake is stocked heavily by private organizations. There are also some largemouth bass, crappie, carp and bluegill in the lake.

Comments and Tips:
The east end of the lake (pictured) is where the normally plant the fish. The trout will usually congregate in this area, but the catfish tend to spread out all around the lake.
