Location and Directions: Lake Tahoe is located west of Carson City NV and SW of Reno NV. It is located in El Dorado and Alpine County and borders the California / Nevada state line. From Sacramento, take hwy. 50 East to the southern part of the lake. Or take 80 East to Truckee and then Hwy 267 South to the northern part of the lake. |

General Info:
Lake Tahoe is 22 miles long, 12 miles wide and has 72 miles of shoreline. There are numerous resorts and camping facilities located around the lake. It is is 1,645 feet deep, making it the third deepest lake in North America and 10th deepest in the world. There are 63 streams that flow into the lake's crystal clear waters. There are numerous marinas and launch ramps located around the lake.
Fishing Info:
There are rainbow, brown and lake trout, kokanee salmon, bass, catfish and crappie here.
