  Juanita Lake

Location and Directions:

     Juanita Lake is located in Siskiyou County, approx. 9 miles west of Macdoel, CA. From Sacramento, take I-5 North to the city of Weed. Then take Hwy. 97 North to the town of Macdoel. Exit Meiss Lake Rd. and go West approx. 9 miles to Juanita Lake Rd. Turn left to the lake.

General Info:

    Juanita Lake has 55 surface acres and two miles of shoreline, set at an elevation of 5,100 feet. There is a tent and RV campsite available with 23 family units and one group camping site. Boating Info:

    There is a small launch ramp, however no motor boats allowed. Canoes, kayaks, inflatables, small sailboats and float tubes only.

Fishing Info:

    The lake is stocked with rainbow and brown trout. There are also bass, catfish and bluegill here. There are two fishing jetties that provide handicapp fishing access. Ice fishing is allowed in mid-winter when the ice is a safe thickness (4 inches or more) to walk on.
