Del Valle Reservior is located in Alameda County near the city of Livermore.

From San Jose:

Take I-880 North. Merge onto I-680 North toward Sacramento. Exit on Vallecitos Rd. and go East. Turn Right on Wetmore Rd. and the Right on Arroyo Rd. to the reservior.

From I-580:

At Livermore, Exit on North Livermore Avenue. Head south and proceed through town (North Livermore Avenue will become South Livermore Avenue in town). About 1.5 miles outside town, turn right at Mines Road, go about 3.5 miles and continue straight on Del Valle Road (Mines Road turns left). The park entrance is about four miles ahead.

General Info:

This is medium sized reservior of 750 surface acres, 5 miles long, and 16 miles of shoreline at an elevation of 700 feet. The park is open daily from 6 a.m.-9 p.m. Entrance fee is $6 per vehicle with an additional $4 per trailered vehicle. Swimming is allowed in designated areas. Camping Info:

There are 150 sites, 21 with full hookups. Group and equestrian camps are also available. For reservations up to 12 weeks in advance, telephone 1-888-EBPARKS or 1-888-327-2757, and press option 2.

Boating Info:

The boat speed limit is 10 miles per hour on the entire lake. There is a boat launch available for $5 a day, $3 for cartops. All boats must receive mandatory boat inspection for invasive mussels. Rentals are available at the marina (925) 449-5201.

Fishing Info:

Fishing permits are $5 per day. The lake is stocked regularly with rainbow trout in the winter and spring months and catfish during the summer. There are also small and largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill and striped bass here. Be sure to visit the CDFW web site for complete regulations before heading out.
