Fishing Info:

Rainbow trout are stocked here during the spring months by the DFG. The stockings usually take place approx. 2.5 miles above O'Neill Park. (NO FISHING is allowed inside the park) Be sure to visit the CDFW web site for complete regulations before heading out.

Comments and Tips:

The wilderness passes are not sold at the park; you can get one at the general store up the street before the creek. (Trabuco General Store at 31021 Trabuco Canyon Rd., Trabuco Canyon, CA 92678)

Make sure to bring an SUV or truck with some good clearance. The road is a mess of large rocks and branches that will scratch up your vehicle. After the first stream crossing about 1 mile in you should start fishing and work your way up. Stop when you get to the fire house, DFG stops planting at that point. Above there the stream becomes untraceable. Also no fish. Hope this helps some one.
