    Rock Creek Lakes are located 22 miles north of Bishop in Mono County. From Hwy. 395 at Tom's Place, take "Crowley Lake Drive/Rock Creek Lake" turnoff and go South to the lakes.

General Info:

    Rock Creek Lakes are nestled in a wide glacial canyon. There are actually more than 40 lakes here, many are only accessible by foot. Tent and RV camping is permitted at several campsites. Hiking, picnicking, cross-country skiing and horseback riding are also allowed. This is an active bear area so please use caution around the wildlife.

Boating Info:

    There is a launch ramp available and rental boats at the marina.

Fishing Info:

    The fishing season starts the last Saturday of April and ends on November 15. The lakes are stocked with rainbow trout by both state and county hatcheries. There are also a few brown trout in here too. (record brown trout - 15.5 pounds) Be sure to visit the CDFW web site for complete regulations before heading out.

Comments and Tips:

     This is one of the most scenic lakes to fish in the sierras. Be sure to bring your camera!
