Pleasant Valley Reservior

Location and Directions:

     Pleasant Valley Reservior is located in Mono County, about 5 miles north of Bishop off Hwy. 395.
3725'20.5"N 11832'09.7"W

General Info:

    The lake was formed by SCE when they built a dam on the Owens river to harness the hydroelectric power. It is open year-round. Foot and bicycle access only. Camping is available just below the dam. Try not to think about earthquakes here because there are huge boulders everywhere above you.

Boating Info:

No boats are allowed. Float-tubing is permitted.

Fishing Info:

    The DFW plants rainbow trout here year round. There are also brown trout, largemouth bass, catfish and perch in here. Crawdad fishing is also popular here. Be sure to visit the CDFW web site for complete regulations before heading out.
