Pine Flat Lake

     Pine Flat Reservoir is located 35 miles East of Fresno, California. From Fresno take Hwy. 180 (Kings Canyon Rd) East. Exit N. Piedra Rd. and follow it to the lake.


General Info:

    Pine Flat lake is 21 miles long with 67 miles of shoreline. It is operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers. It is open year round for camping, boating and fishing. Entrance fee is $4 per day.


Camping Info:

    There are several campgrounds around the lake run by both private and US Forest Service.
- Lakeridge Campground: 20 overnight spaces for trailers and motor homes, as well as tent spaces.
- Island Park Campground: North shore of the lake. RV, tent and group camping available. Boat launch.

- Trimmer Campground: North shore of the lake. Non-electric and tent camping available. Boat launch, picnic area.

Boating Info:

    There are several boat ramps around the lake. Water skiing and PWC are allowed.
- Pine Flat Lake Marina : Boat launching, rentals.


Fishing Info:

    The lake is stocked regularly with rainbow trout by the CDFW. There are also brown trout, kokanee salmon, spotted bass, largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, carp and catfish here. Night fishing is allowed. Be sure to visit the CDFW web site for complete regulations before heading out.
