There is a public launch ramp and a full service marina with fishing boats, pontoons, canoes, kayaks and jet-skis for rent. Float-tubing is permitted. Lake Lopez Marina or call (805) 489-1006.
Rainbow trout are stocked during the winter months. There are also largemouth bass, catfish, crappie, red-ear sunfish and bluegill here. Minimum bass size is 12 inches. Be sure to visit the CDFW web site for complete regulations before heading out.
Comments and Tips:
First time fisherman should head over to the F dock. All species can be caught right here, it's a stone's throw from the store, and there will be plenty of locals there to help you out.
This is a very good bass lake. Although most are small (under 4 pounds) they are plentiful. The numerous coves, points and underwater structure make excellent habitat for these fish.
