Crowley Lake

Location and Directions:

     Crowley Lake is located in Mono County, off Hwy. 395. It is 25 miles north of Bishop and 12 miles south of Mammoth Lakes.

General Info:

    The lake is 12 miles long and 5 miles at its widest point. RV and tent camping is permitted only at South Landing in designated sites. For reservations call (760) 935-4301. Crowley Lake Fish Camp

Boating Info:

There is a public launch ramp and rental boats are available at the marina. Private boats must purchase a boat permit from the Crowley Lake Fish Camp. Float-tubing, skiing and jet skiing are permitted.

Fishing Info:

    The fishing season starts the last Saturday of April and ends on November 15. There is also a "Restricted Fishing Seson" from August 1 through November 15. During this time no Bait fishing is allowed. Fishing is permitted with barbless lures or flies only. The trout limit is reduced to 2 fish of 18" or longer. The lake is stocked with rainbow trout by both state and county hatcheries. There are also a few brown trout and Sacramento perch in here too. Be sure to visit the CDFW web site for complete regulations before heading out.
