Lafayette Reservoir is located is located east of Oakland in Contra Costa County. From Oakland take Hwy. 13 North to Hwy 24 East. Exit Mt. Diablo Blvd. The lake will be on your right.

General Info:

    Lafayette Reservoir consists of 126 surface acres. It is open year round for day use only. Entrance fee is $7 per vehicle. There is a nice picnic and children's play area and numerous hiking and biking trails. No body contact with the water is allowed. Boating Info:

    Only cartop boats with electric motors allowed. Boat launching is $4 plus a $6 inspection fee. Rental boats are available at the marina. Float-tubing is allowed. All boats must be off the water 2.5 hours before closing.

Fishing Info:

    The lake is stocked regularly with rainbow trout in the winter and catfish during the summer. There are also largemouth bass, bluegill and crappie in here. Fishing permits are $5.00 per day. There is a fish cleaning station and a handicap access fishing dock available. Be sure to visit the CDFW web site for complete regulations before heading out.
