Fishing Info:
Kaweah lake's fish population was "killed-off" by the DFG in 1987 to get rid of a white bass infestation. Since then, the fishing has slowly re-bounded and it is now a very productive fishery. The lake is stocked with rainbow trout during the winter and spring months by the DFW. There are also brown trout, Florida strain largemouth bass, channel catfish, crappie and bluegill here. Minimum 15-inch limit on largemouth bass. Be sure to visit the CDFW web site for complete regulations before heading out.
