California Aquaduct - Antelope Valley

Location and Directions:

State Highway 138
Lancaster, CA 93535

     The California Aquaduct in Antelope Valley is located in between Lancaster and I-5 and runs diagonally across hwy. 138.


General Info:

    You can access the aquaduct at numerous points where bridges cross it. You can park here and either walk or bicycle from there. The aquaduct is open year round for fishing, biking or hiking. Hunting is not allowed.

Fishing Info:

    There are striped bass, catfish, carp, largemouth bass and perch in here. Be sure to visit the CDFW web site for complete regulations before heading out.


Comments and Tips:

    Fish can be found throughout the aquaduct but usually congregate around the gates, siphons and bridges where the current is obstructed.
