Location and Directions:
Convict Lake is located in Mono County, about 11 miles NW of Crowley Lake. From Hwy. 395 take Convict Lake Rd. West to the lake.
This is a smaller lake at 1 mile long and 1/2 mile wide. There are camping facilities as well as cabins for rent. For more information, visit: Convict Lake Resort

There is a public launch ramp available. 10hp maximum. Rental boats are available at the marina. Over-night slips are also available. Click for prices.
The fishing season starts the last Saturday of April and ends on November 15. The lake is stocked with rainbow trout by both state and county hatcheries. There are also a few brown trout in here too. Be sure to visit the CDFW web site for complete regulations before heading out.
Comments and Tips:
The water here is crystal-clear so light line fishing is a must! Best times are early mornings and evenings. There is a hiking trail along the north shore for fishing access.
