     Bass Lake is located north of Fresno near the city of Oakhurst. From Fresno take hwy. 41 north to Oakhurst. Exit Crave Valley Rd. (Rd. 426) and go east into the mountains.

General Info:

    The lake is 4.5 miles long and 1/2 mile wide, 1,165 surface acres. The elevation is 3,376 ft. Activities include camping, fishing, boating and hiking.

Boating Info:

    Private boaters are required to register their boats with the sheriff prior to launching. Boat registration fees: Under 51 hp - $32.00, 51 hp - 250 hp - $50.00, over 250 hp - $63.00, PWC - $50.00 Boat Dealers $63.00. Registration is good for the entire season, there is no daily pass. Boat launching is available at Pines Marina or the public launch near the dam.

Fishing Info:

    Rainbow trout are planted here by the CDFW. There are also kokanee salmon, largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill and catfish here. Be sure to visit the CDFW web site for complete regulations before heading out.
