    pick a pier, any pier. find some room to set up your set-up and soak some squid and Markel. sardines would sub for mac in a pinch. I like San Clemente pier because it is less crowded than the piers in north OC/ LA county. If you are planning on surf fishing the possibilities are endless so long as the waves and current cooperate.

    I've been dying to try out my new avet on a boat to get a nice tug on it and get use to the avet, but I figure if I cant go on a boat right now, I can get a nice tug from a shark or ray. If I can catch one from the surf, that would be badass

    Sometimes channels can be productive. Where a bay funnels down to feed another bay. 2nd St LB, Los Al, Huntington Harbor ect.
