Default socal surf perch beaches..Any ideas?

I have tried for surf perch in both long beach and Newport beach. Does anyone have any luck at these beaches with surf perch? Not sure where I should be fishing for these. Cannot seem to get any hits on my LC lures, cammo worms or other bait.

    Thanks in advance

try sand crabs... deadly bait. tough part is locating them. the ones about nickel size work well with a size 8 bait hook. Good luck !

If you have a strainer they are easy to find.

Look for holes. Set up a c-rig with a half ounce egg sinker and with about 2 foot leader with 6lb line.

With the exception of the guys up north of Pt Conception it's been tough going for perch for a couple years. Maybe change target species?

if you hook the bigger sandcrabs you'll get bigger perch, but fewer of them. Might also hook a huge corbina that way
