Default Lake Mary Report - July 18-20

Did a quick trip up to Mammoth over the weekend and it was pretty slow up there. Only caught one at Lake Mary. Hardly anyone else was catching anything either. Not totally unexpected as the warmer weather usually puts a damper on the bite. Was hoping it would rain as this kicked off the bite in July several years ago but, it only rained once for about 15 minutes. We even tried fishing after eating dinner which we never did before hoping the bite will pick up in the early evening but, still nothing. We fished until we had to use flashlights to pack up our gear.

Oh well, hoping to make it back in the fall..

Lots of clouds and thunderstorms were forecasted but weather was relatively calm.

I was up there the weekend before. Lake Mary wasn't so good to me either. Lake George was good. Twin Lakes was good as well. Almost got spooled by a monster then broke off when he dove into the weeds. Intake 2 was off the hook. Thanks for the report!

Friends & I went up at the end of June. During the full moon. And we were fools to do so. Went to Mary Lake on Saturday , for the evening bite. In 44yrs of fishing there, I never saw it so low. So much beach was exposed . You could have fished anywhere. Where as before those spots would all be underwater. Needless to say we only caught a few. Threw them all back. All the other Mammoth lakes were full. Twin, George and Mamie were full. Going back up after Labor day.
