Went out on Friday with a friend who is new at bass fishing with the hopes of teaching him a thing or two. It was cold and windy. Tried all my usual spots with nothing. Tried some new spots with very little luck. I threw a few different things at them and finally got bit on a white fluke. 1 the entire day!!! It started to rain so we headed back. As we were coming into the docks, we saw tons of people lined up along the shore and dam. I stopped to check it out and started throwing my vertical jig. I didn't have my big swim baits. I had changed the hooks and rings on them and left them in my workstation at home. We were there for about 45 minutes and saw a few people catch stripers from shore using big swim baits. At least 5 really good sized stripers. I didnt have such luck. Feels like a skunk, so I gotta get back out there and shake it off. For all those shore fisherman (jdogg) seems like a good time to get out there with those big swimbaits.
