    Yes, but where's the proof the contra's killed them?

    WASHINGTON, Jan. 2 (Special to The New York Times) - State Department officials said that they could not confirm details of the slayings. ''Things in Nicaragua are impossible to verify especially with our reduced presence there,'' an official said.

    Nicaragua ordered the United States to reduce its embassy staff in Managua after American troops raided the home of the Nicaraguan Ambassador in Panama City last week.

    Reached tonight in Miami, the contras' military commander, Col. Enrique Bermudez, cast doubt on the Sandinistas' charge that the contras were responsible for the attack. He noted that the reported shootings occurred in an area outside his forces' usual range of operations.

    He added, however, that he had received no word from contra leaders in Honduras that would enable him to confirm or deny the accusation.

    ''I have no detailed information at this time because no patrol has reported any action in that area,'' he said. ''We have never had any type of operations in that area. It's a Miskito area.''

    The Miskito Indians, who live along the Atlantic coast of Nicaragua, have mounted sporadic military operations against the Sandinistas, separate from the contras, for years.

    Colonel Bermudez also said that the Sandinistas in the past have falsely charged the contras with killing or kidnapping Catholic Church officials, including an assertion in 1983 that rebels had kidnapped a bishop."

Therefore I've borrowed an article from the Heritage Foundation titled "The Economic Principles of America’s Founders: Property Rights, Free Markets, and Sound Money".

    And here are a couple of examples of where we are now;

    True entrepreneurial capitalism in the USA began with the founders who wrote it into our constitution. It just wasn't called that back then. And it is still there, just hijacked by progressive cronyism, which is against the constitution...
    I didn't ask you what economic philosophy our Founding Fathers had, or when the concept of the free market capitalism came into being. My question was quite specific:

    A return suggests we actually had true entrepreneurial free market capitalism, regardless of what it might have been called. When exactly do you believe that was?

    I already answered that. I also said it still exists only it's being incrementally replaced by progressive cronyism/socialism. With every new tax, mandate, regulation, government agency etc. etc. It disappears a little more here and a little more there. So what's your point Quagga...

    No, "true entrepreneurial free market capitalism" does not exist.

    Ever since a couple of our Founding Fathers had a little disagreement on economic policy (WHAT? You mean the Founding Fathers had differing views in spite of what "constitutional conservatives" might have you believe???), the U.S. economy has been influenced by internal and external forces, and has never existed in this country in a "pure" form.

    That you believe our economic state exists relevant to any "conservative vs socialist" context is delusional.

    Dude, I challenge you to a 50-yard, barefoot race on the beach to settle things once and for all. You win, I'll wear an Giants hat and a Bush-Cheney t-shirt. I win, you'll wear a Dodgers hat and a Elvis Costello t-shirt.

    Ya I know Bob, but I just love pissing them off. They give us 8 years under Obozo's dope & blunder policies, they need to pay for their stupidity.

    Ahhh go easy on C/D Bob, he ain't that bad. I mean if Arthur tolerates him, he can't be all that bad, can he? Just make sure he has his Barbie floaties on...
