    I live in Caprinteria and fish regularly. There are always lots of perch, but at times can be small. Use a small rod with 4lb test and a split shot. #12 trout hook and the red or camo worms you are using. In front of the campground and the tarpits area are great spots to try. Also Santa Clause when its not crowded. The LC can be productive but takes patience. There are some decent halibut caught in Carp throughout the year. Also mackerel works well for the sharks and rays off the beach. Again some spots are better than others. PM me if you want some intel. Good luck and welcome to Carp.

    Haven't been back out yet, but just got a new rod for my bday so I'll be trying it out soon!
