    Default 1/26/15 Raining bass

Hey guys, convinced my dad to take me after school for a quick session. I pull up fishing the 3 inch Creeping Death big hammer. A little while in my dad scores his one and only fish for the day. A little calico bass. About 20 minutes later as it's raining hard I take a long cast and about 15 cranks in I get smashed. I knew it was a nice fish from the start but as I hoist it over I see it's a big spottie. Real nice way to make the bass start raining. A little while over I score a small sandy. After about 20 minutes I score a big hit. I pull her up and it's a nice sandbass. SHE CHOKED THE SWIMBAIT. Overall it was a nice quick session after school. Thanks guys and look for more!

    Sweet bass thumb spottie!!
That one spottie is at least 16", if not a little bigger.
You should keep a tape with you to keep track of your personal best...
    Thanks for sharing,

You lucky guy. Keep the reports frequent! You have a cool dad!

I've never fished LA harbor, but you guys are killing it. I usually fish alamitos for the spotties and sandies. It's usually better when the sun is gone. Do you guys ever fish clear red pattern here? I've had a lot of luck nabbing flatties with that color in harbors all the way up to marina del ray.

Ive only fished that harbor a few times but I will try that color. Is alamitos right by 75th street jetty?
