Default 8/26 Skinner 1st time - Tough tough tough

My buddy Dave and I tried out Skinner for the 1st time on his Rig and boy was the bite hard, at least for us it was. I can't remember the last time I ran into a bite
this tough! We fished shallow, deep, points, cliffs, tullies, inlet and we only caught a total of 4 fish and took off by lunch time. 2 Bass were the size
as my baits, lol ! We trew everything I could think of. 2 caught on plastics and 2 reaction baits. That's it

Anyways I read their blue stoning the lake this friday. That lake sure could use it. Heavy moss/algae (that look like huge jelly fish), lot's dead grass everywhere.
The lake kinda reminded me of puddingstone a little. It's a nice looking Lake it just wassent our day I guess. This trip really felt like a skunk

I'll be fishing this sat too just haven't decided if it's going to be local/Perris or try BB for the 1st time.

Weather: Really nice day to have been out. Partly cloudy Day w/ very low winds
    Water temp: 76-78

    Few pics

    Cute lil thing!

The first time out at Skinner is tough. Once you go multiple times you will realize that it is a decent lake and there are a lot of fish to be caught. Lake Skinner gets so much traffic every week that you need to give the Bass something other then they see day in day out.

If you ever go again and the morning looks like the first picture you posted, throw hard baits that float.

Nice job on catching the fish you did. Many people go to Skinner and get skunked multiple times.

Skinner can be like this at times with the super clear water and water level fluctuations. It is sometimes the smallest adjustment that makes all the difference. Sometimes you just don't get them to go.

Do not forget they have quagga there and you cannot launch anywhere that is non-infested for 7 days. I am pretty sure the log your cf's into the system so if you try they will catch it at Perris or DVL.

Yes this was def one of those day's, we just could not get them to go. A regular their also caught 4 and said the bite was def hard that day. Usually our low avg is 30-40
fish day at 2 anglers anywhere we go. And I been slaying at Perris/Wood which is why we had to try something new.

That was my friends boat. Mine atm is tagged, dry & ready to go for whatever =)

I thought they logged cf's as well but when I got my boat in June without knowing you weren't supposed to I went Skinner to Dvl to Skinner in 3 days. No one ever said anything.
