A little slow on the Owens River

Wild trout (special reg) section is from bridge at PVR campground to 5 Bridges Road in Bishop.

So there is some year round between 5 bridges and where the Owens crosses Hiway 6 ... right?

That whole section from 5 bridges road to where the river goes under
Hwy 6 is open year around..

Sorry you are mistaken,,, the area of the river below the large redwood sign is general regulations although the area is still considered Wild Trout area...

The WT section ends a bit before 5 Bridges. However, play it safe and use the bridge as your delineator. That is a multiple violation ticket that will hurt the pocketbook. One of the local gents I fly fish with regularly debarbs his flies, no matter the section. A warden gave him the cotton ball test and determined the barbs were not completely gone. $400 cite. No 'spirit of the law' up there because so many asshats violate regs in all sections of the LO.
