Thread: How Honest is COSTCO?

seems you suffer from the same delusions as trump
    a 1/4lb doesn't mean a1/4lb

and with the EXACT same ingredients in the exact same ratio going into product production them being the same
    is a lie

no mater what the fda certifies it's all phoney news

again exact same product less the rabbi praying for the dying animal

not any heavier not any mystery ingredient's but a product that is a 100% the same as a hebrew

and one more clue d.w is not a official kirkland spokesman so his take is the same as listening to pinky talk about all the great people he gets his facts and info from

Kirkland may have reverse engineered the ingredients, but it is still not the same hot dog. In addition to being non-Kosher and a larger size frank, Costco claims to have beat out other brands in blind taste tests.

At any rate, that wasn't the question. The Food Court hot dogs can be purchased from Costso.

Plus means better, so I'm definitely gonna stock up on some of those Kirkland bad boys.

I can take the entire pack to my local priest to get them Kosher'ed, if need be.

(Is that done by sprinkling holy water on them? What if you boil them in holy water? Like the ole Dodger Dogs at Chávez Ravine?)

In this case, "plus" means heavier. "About 10% heavier" according to Kirkland/Costco.

A quarter-pound Hebrew National link is 113 grams. Kirkland's Plus links are 123 grams. That's about 8.85% heavier if you do the math - not quite the 10% Kirkland boasts, but I will give them a pass.

Besides not being Kosher, the ingredients are not 100% identical to Hebrew Nationals.

HN: Beef, Water, Salt, Spice, Sodium Lactate, Paprika, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Garlic Powder, Sodium Diacetate, Sodium Erythorbate, Flavoring, Sodium Nitrite

K/C: Beef, Water, Dextrose, Salt, Spices, Sodium Lactate, Garlic, Sodium Diacetate, Sodium Erythorbate, Paprika and Extractive, Sodium Nitrate

And Kirkland, while not being Kosher, uses USDA Choice or better cuts.

Incidentally, "DW" stands for David Wight, the Online Editor for Costco Connection at Costco Wholesale Corporation. So yes, he is a Costco spokesperson.

    Ok.....

    So, what about the churros?

Can we get into another riveting debate about fried dough rolled in sugar and cinnamon? How much do they weigh? Did they steal the recipe from someone? Can you ask one of the cashiers to add vanilla soft serve on top of them?

And most importantly, are they Kosher?

Can we get a dissertation on the Chicken Bakes? And why they are no longer available? Cost benefit analysis perhaps? PR release?
