My Longest Celilo Rod is 9'6" But It's Rated @ Light! This is an Ultra-Light!
I just unboxed my latest rod acquisition. Currently my longest UL spinning rod. Extremely light at 4.55oz. Not a wimpy "whippy" rod. The MSRP is extremely budget minded for anglers! I did have one like this before but gave it away to someone who really needed it more than myself. Yes, though it's inexpensive it seems to be a quality build.
Before this i was using another Celilo a foot longer rater as a Light. But it was slightly restrictive on the light weighted lures & the distance achieved. Though this rod is a foot shorter i'm hopping the lighter rod reaction will compensate for distance achieved. I'm trying to target fish during the day from shore using 4lb braid that's unusually ultra-thin w/a high breaking point & a type of 4lb monofilament with a fluoro skin for scratch resistance & knot strength.
I'm hoping this new rod acquisition will help. I've already found several UL 1K reels that look like 2K size-wise from BIGFOOT REELS & already have bags of mini customized lures that tested positive in the field.
