    Default Shaver Lake report

    Went to Shaver Lake for my first time ever last week, and I have to say its a pretty cool lake. We caught a TON of dink smallmouth bass on flukes and jerk baits. We also caught a couple bigger smallies on crank baits and rooster tails. The biggest one was 1lb 10 oz. We also tried for some trout and catfish. We caught a couple trout off power bait and inflated night crawlers. Catfish were small and we caught them on night crawlers as well. Oh yeah and by the way these were all caught shore fishing by the scout camp.

    Shaver lake was completely drained in 2011 so all you will catch are the small fish that have been stocked over last 2 years. They have stocked trout up to 10# though.
