    Default Silverwood lake 8/24/2013

got to silverwood yesterday right when the gates where opening, fished with some big swimbaits and managed to land two decent size stripers. As soon as the sun was fully out and heat started going up the swimbait bite was pretty much over. fished a little longer using bait and landed nothing but dinks. over all the fishing pretty much sucks there right now, cant wait until October when the swimbait bite really starts and the big striper start biting!

At least you didn't get skunked. Went out Friday night and struggled. Managed 1 large mouth and that was it. Threw swim baits for ever and a day and couldn't muster a blow up. Think the moon had a lot to do with it. A ton of dinks back in the coves busting on shad. Recent warm spell doesn't help much either. Another month and we should be getting pretty good.
