Fairmount Bass and Panfish 6/30

Decided to hit up Fairmount park lake for a few hours. I didn't get there till about 6:15 because unwanted the heat to die down a little. I was going for blue gill and on my 2 nd or 3rd cast I hooked up to something big and my line just started to peel off I thought I may have hooked a carp at first on a mealworm with a jig head but then it finally jumped out and I brought it in on 2 lb test and it was a 7 lb bass and it my pb also. Got a quick picture and released it. Caught about 30-40 bluegill. The bass really came alive at night but I didn't have the right gear. I left at about 8:40.

Great job! Be careful at night there though. If the homeless or gangstahs don't get you, the cops will.
