Wow, that was a rough one for Arturo. A five Perch day and one lost unknown big fish is what I consider "paying my dues." I think the King Snake was my best catch of the day.

Robert, thanks for inviting me to come fish with you, always fun regardless of the fish count.
Just watching you go Commando on those waves, getting rolled, pop back up time and time again and doing it again is quite inspiring. You are relentless in your pursuit for the prize, kudos my friend, kudos!
I used to do that myself before fishing with Mike (Bones) made me soft.

Bonus Report - Friday 5/27 2-Hour Mission.

Tried to redeem myself with a quick 2-hour session before work this morning with Mike (Bones).
S.W.A.T. A.O. code name: Doomsday
Conditions pretty rough out there as the swells have picked up quite a bit.
Managed one Calico... until we meet again my friends.
We will give it another try soon!

Huge clumps of kelp washing up on the beach. These are not boilers, some of the biggest clumps of kelp that I've ever seen!

Thanks for the heads up on the post. I've said it many times that the SWAT team never fails when ity comes to "Quality Reports" and this one is just as awesome as all the rest!
I have to ask though, did you hear Arthur at one point in the day say "Never give up!" I'd like to think I may have given one of the SWAT members a little good advice. I think Arthur heard me say those words a few times in the past.

The before and after pics of the Halibut, what can I say other than, Great catch and a wonderful dinner.
Your dialed in down there. Were still in a holding pattern as far as cold water. Temps start to come up but then another storm comes along and sets us back. We keep fishing though. Picking on the perch with lesson's from Yoda. He is the master of the surf for sure.

You've got that place dialed in! Catching a legal when Wingnut hasn't beached one flattie is something most people are never going to do. Major props for sticking it out in not so ideal conditions and being rewarded. Sorry to hear about the missed potential giant flat fish, but it will come your way again soon.

Not all surf trips can be fantastic, and even Wingnut has to have some not so ridiculous days. Still, the company is always great with SWAT even when the fishing really isn't.
