    Default Bbl sat. Trolling 5/21

Launched at sunup and headed to the Observatory area and tried a setup my freind says been killin em , NOT TODAY , ha saw a guy in a boat trolling flat line and killin em . I was like no way Iam fishing deeper [ 4 colors - 20 ft. ] And once the wind came up it was wide open bite , just in front of the Observatory . Caught holdover trout alot bigger today 2 lbs. and even got a 3 lb. from the last weekend plant for the tourney . Caught 10 kept 5 , tried crawlers , kept getting bit but no hookups , my firetiger rapala was slayin all the way . Water temp. is 53 deg. and air temp. was at abouit 60 deg. when I left @ 10:30 am . Tomarrow Iam going back up to BBL but to recon. the west lk. side . // db

Yep. They are opening it for the big weekend and then closing it again for repairs.

Hey Vince , You gatta get up there soon as the fish are ready to move west , I live in Yucaipa so the 38 is the only way for me . Went to BBL again today and the early top water bite is way good but mine came at 4 colors lead pulling a firetiger rap.

Steve I know.. I'm just a lazy fisherman in SW riverside conserving gas in my gas guzzler chevy, going to the nearest body of water DV or Skinner! I'm so lazy I wont even drive up to Lake Hemet where its WIDE OPEN for Bow's right now.
