Sweet Bass..Did you ever see any Striper boils? We were there yesterday and only saw a few.
-
naw didnt see any striper boils but hard to tell. lmb were really active
-
surfer john.. i was there yesterday too.. and didnt see many striper boils.
bigtuna, when the stripers boil.. its really like seeing the water boil.. very similar to how tuna do it.. LMB boils seem a bit more sporadic to me.
all i caught yesterday were the smaller grade lmb's.

Rumors is that they were supposedly boiling at the West Dam in the morning.

Yea we cruised the lake like three times...All we got were LMB but Saturday was a different story..Stripers everywhere
-
Just becuase you dont see the boils it doesnt mean they are not happening, you have too remember the striper is a ocean fish ,they cover great amount of water and distance in a short amount of time and go from being shallow to the deep real quick,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Yup ... I agreed with TO on this one, on Sunday I just cruised the center of the lake mid-throttle so I have an edge on actually getting to them once they come up, gotta keep your eyes wide open, and DON'T run over top of them. DVL stripey are a little more skiddish than say Castaic. If you stop to fish, always watch your back (water), they could popup yard behind you while you are face down watching your line ... happy hooking
-
engine noise will put them down off feeding.

Nice lmb brah, I'm still sick from farming that dd stripey last time
