Default Tubing Perris 6/20 Late Report

This past Sunday I decided to tube Perris, but this time i brought 2 cousins (Ian and Vies) with me for what turned out to be a pretty fun and relaxing time on the water. We got there late at around 1145, and launched at Bernasconi, immediately heading for the sweet spot that was revealed to us by a super cool dude, and fellow FNN'r, Flying. Once we got to the spot our lines were in the water. We fished with white, white and green, and black and green jigs with meal worms on them, all seemed to work well, but i seemed to be getting hit all day on the green and black haha. I ended up catching my first crappie, and the only fish of the trip, but it still was fun. Hopefully next time my cousins can have even more fun and hook up with a crappie of their own haha... anyways here come pictures, enjoy

    From the tube

    Vies and Ian

    Ian and Vies

    Finally my first crappie

I should have taken a shot of the fish on my tube by the ruler, but it measured a nice 16 inches!! it seemed humongous to me, especially considering how i think a medium size bluegill or redear is big haha. Thanks for checking my post out and til next time,(actually tomorrow haha) tight lines everyone

Thanks!! Ya this was the only fish that I caught, but I we were getting hits all day. I was hoping for some bluegill and redear but they didn't want to play, hopefully today is a little better :)

Wow! That photo of you with that crappie is a really nice shot! (had the camera's flash on) And what a nice crappie! How did Ian and Vies do? Looks like it got windy. Next time take a plastic grocery bag and 50 feet of light rope and find a big rock to put in the bag. Makes a great anchor to keep you in place when the wind comes up. When you are done for the day, just wad up the bag, put it in one of the float tube pockets and hide your rock somewhere on the shoreline for next time. What pound test line are you using? Looks kind of heavy.... Got to use no more than 4. 2 is better. But you did great bro!

@fishmounter The anchor idea sounds like something I'll definitely do the next time i head out.

@JACQUELI You should pm me when your heading out, Perris is pretty awesome right now, and you dont need waders!!
