Havasu Weekend

Blasted out to Havasu right after dessert on Thanksgiving. Not too much traffic in the big city and wide open highways up in the desert.

We fished at Sandpoint marina on Friday and my daughter landed a nice fat 5+ pound carp after I did a hook-n-hand off to her. Nice action shot of her hammerin' on that fish, huh?!

On Saturday, we met up with my long time friend Scott Brownlie who took us out on his rig for a few hours in the afternoon. We fished several areas of the Windsor Basin in 57-58 degree water w/o much to show for it. I got 2 consecutive blow ups on the spook and thats all we saw. No shad up anywhere we looked.

Beautiful weather except for a little evening light rain on Saturday...

Anyway, as I stated in the report, I "hooked and handed off", so technically, I didn't get skunked even though I didn't land a fish on the trip. In other words, I got hooked up but but I didn't lose the fish so I guess the result is in eternal limbo? Kind of a neat thought, huh?...being hooked up forever, never knowing whether or not you'll ever land the fish???

But...if that's not good enough for you Gary....I'll accept the skunk in your honor...

OK, so I got skunked on the next day...but I didn't get skunked for the trip! I got "LIMBOed"!!!! Heeeeee
