Silverwood trout fishing might actually have gotten better. DFG is planting bigger fish to avoid the striper slay.

3 1/2 lbs. caught last Sunday.

The PCB's apply mostly to predator fish that eat a lot of the baitfish in the lakes. Although trout will eat baitfish for sure they eat more freshwater shrimp and insects and the levels of PCB's are not as high from what I have read. Most people do not eat these fish on a daily basis and from what I understand there should be no concerns with occasional consumption.
