    Definately all advantages with an open faced tube.......ever tried to get into a closed faced tube with your fins on or put your fins on after getting into the tube? Ever do a face plant in shallow water? Best to get the open faced V shaped tube. As long as you fasten the front bar snugly you won't have any problems. Try to get a tube that sits yourself higher in the water because it allows better casting and maneuverability. I started with a closed face tube when tubing first started, was very glad when they started making the U shaped tubes then the V shaped ones. Have a blast!
