Hey, thats not a bass!! Fishing the Owens

I know you had the proper and best intention of CPR, so right on, but that really isn't a great way of holding the fish. A good way for me to hold the big ones is to form a ring out of your index finger and thumb and put it around the tail, then cradle the belly with the other hand. Much better for the fish. Very nice catch there bassman!!!

Thanks everyone! Yes she was quite the beauty and I will try and be more careful handeling trout, guess I'm just too used to bass fishing. I do know when I released her she took off and didnt look back.

I've been thinking about going up there with the weather being so mild.

I've caught trout on bass flies but never a crankbait. Hmmm might be worth a try during the fall spawning run. (Great...just some more junk to drag along w/me )
