I would get both to be safe. I use to go there a lot. Rangers worked the area. If your on a boat you for sure need both as one side of the lake is Nevada and the other side is Arizona. You may get other advice on this but I like to play it safe in other States

Get either an AZ or NV License and the other states usage stamp. Since technically there is no border in the lake there is no place to call AZ or NV. The rangers will check, I have been checked by the same ranger more than once also. They are genuinely good people though and are doing a great job.

Watch out for the dead carp everywhere, there is a virus in the lake affecting the carp, koi, and goldfish that is wiping them out. Some coves have dozens of dead carp in them and AZGAF is trying their best to clean them up.

Stripers are deep during the day and somewhat more active at night. Fishing under a light has been good for me lately as well as trolling umbrella rigs on leadcore at about 40'-50' deep.

    Good luck out there!!!

Yep, license for one and usage stamp for the other.

Just stop in at the convenience store at Katherines Landing and they will set you up with the license you need.

If you have never been there its the store next to the main launch ramp in the main marina there. You will see tons of carp in the water, perch, stripers and whopping LMB that you cant fish for because they are protected in the marina.

BTW the KHV (Koi Herpes Virus) is not a transferable to any other fish or humans and is NOT a water quality issue!

The AZ license is cheaper than the NV license. Add 3 bucks for the stamp and you are good for either side of the lake or river. Try fishing the river near the casinos if you get a chance. There are some nice striper in there.
