Had to go to class at 4:00 and was bored, so I decided to hit the lake up before I left to class. I decided to ditch the tried and true t-rig and try a super light 1/32 oz wacky ?cotto? hook. Good thing I brought the Shimano Core, because casting a 1/32 oz wacky head would be asking for some backlashes and the Core casts extremely light lures no problem!
Anyways, I rigged up a Jackall flick shake worm in pumpkin pepper and 2nd cast, I feel a slight snag; I free the snag, and see a green belly near the surface... IT WAS A FISH!!! Note that I never throw anything this light and it was presenting an extremely slow fall, which is probably why I didn't initially feel the bite. City park fish are awesome since it seems like they fight like they are 2x their weight. After a short fight I bring it up and take the quick picture and release the bass. Weighed approx 2 lbs.
The fish made my day and I actually left after casting 5 more times... I probably had under 10 casts and stayed 15 minutes. Went to the GF's house to see her new haircut, and rid my hands of BASS smell before class.
