Whats the most common setup for fishing sand bass/ calico bass off of local moo moos?
there are quite a few ways to fish these.....local sand bass, i use 8-12 lb test, and fish nothing but wham lures, in the green.....another common setup for the sand bass is a dropper loop set up, with a 3-4 oz weight.....BUT, many times, you can catch sand bass flylining (no weight)...you just need to see whats happening on the trip that youre on, and go from there...peace
I PREFER # 6..USE A 1/4-1/2 OZ WHAM HEAD OR COTTEE HEAD(YELLOW)..SOMETIMES, YOU MAN NEED HEAVIER...
THE WEIGHT GOES ON THE LOOP, THE HOOK GET TIED TO THE END OF THE MAIN LINE
