I am going to go surf fishing

I really want to go surf fishing tomorrow. I think that I am going to go to Santa Monica to see if i can get anything to bite. If anyone knows of any better places to fish in that area please tell. I am going to fish with 2 inch gulp camo sand worms. What might i be able to catch besides Perch?? Is there anything i can fish with that a variety of fish will bite?? Is there anything else that i should fish with?? and any general tips would be appreciated. Sorry for all of these questions but i am quite new to surf fishing in California.

carolina rigged gulp worms work great on the perch, you should also try the 1.75 inch big hammer perch grubs (also carolina rigged) in the motor oil/red flake color which can be found at any turners in so cal. good luck!!!!

read the surf fishing reports that will let you know whats bitting and where. also try looking for snad crabs and carolina rig those with a light weight on 4-6 lb in the skinny water for corbina.
