Hey guys, sorry for the late report. Went out 12/30 for the winter shakedown. Hit the water a little before 7, and decided to gun it straight out to the shoe.

Our old fish finder finally went the way of the dodo so we were fishing blind other than the old gps that we had programmed with our favorite horseshoe spot. Got there with somewhat calm seas, slight offshore winds and hit up a few drifts.

First fish in a while was a small grade sculpin, around 10".

Then we had a small sheephead around the same size. Motored back for another drift and hooked up with a nice sculpin around 15" we decided to keep, and we were looking forward to a nice rock fish feast.

Caught a small red fish, and then some macks moved in to bug us. We motored out and since the wind picked up we had to anchor to be able to stay on the bottom. That set we caught another small grade sculpin around 12" we let go, and then we sat and looked around the area for about another hour for nothing but a small perch. Nothing worth taking pictures of. Decided it was too cold to sit out there for nothing, so we headed in around noon with one sculpin for a tasty snack.
All in all, a good day to shake the boat down and catch some fish.
