Well after lots of looking and waiting til the next season I finally bought a center console boat. It's a 96 hydrasport with a 150 Johnson outboard. After calling hundreds of adds and driving at least a thousand miles to look at boats, usually scheduled after fishing trips, I found a boat that would suit my needs. I had to haggle they guy and got 1500 of the price before i even drove it. He said it was worthy of running to the local banks when the weather was decent and offered to take me fishing at the nine mile bank.
The boat ran decent in the slop and we got a few doritos and my personal best dorado

With all the reports from local water I couldn't resist the saturday invite to buddy boat, shoulda since i don't have to work on wednedays and there's way less traffic on the water, but any day on the water is a good day. The line for bait was crazy at least 35 minutes long which was scary trying to keep the boat in line with all the yachts around me but I did it and there was no problems. After getting a scoop of jumbo sardines i decided to only baitwell 3/4 and could have gotten away with a half a scoop since we still had bait at the end of the day.
After leaving the harbor we headed south and hit paddy's after about 20 minutes of motoring. I wish I had payed better attention to HESBROS about th 3-4 inch mackerals because my sabiki's were to big for the mini macks which is what the dodo's were keyed in on. I made the best of it and hooked 2 landed 1 and the other got knocked off by a newb gaff move. We saw tons of fish on the way to the 14 mile bank but none would bite. The 14 mile bank was full of boats but no biters, so we left and hit paddy's back to Dana and got a bunch of bonita on our left over bait. I can't wait to get back out there.
