More misc. Those sacramento perch are everywhere at the lagoon but I don't see 'em get real big...here is one of signifigant size..

Beautifull fish there...would that be one o them suckas from irvine ? I think so, I caught one at the legends event, I was really impressed, those colors were really awesome there in that lake, had to stop and admire it for a moment.
I struck on it like a tuna and came up with one of them..Had Capp'nt & fishyboy rolling in the boat the way I played it up....Look out...don't be behind me, I'm gonna set the hook!"

Stickfighter: that is one really nice fish there buddy...you should be proud !

Small note: unless I am mistaken, I beleive those are redear sunfish not bluegill (not to start a big debate).

Great fish, great shots...good eatin fish too, I wish I could get 'em like that regularly.

Yes GLTFSG, it is a red ear. The pumpkin seed ones are really pretty. All members of the sunfish family and taste so good. We were at The Vine that day. That was the day we had all the pontoons tied together in the middle of the lake and OFG was catching sunfish all day. Trolly was laughing so hard because he couldn't figure out how she was catching them so fast. One thing about sunfish is they are dependible skunk chasers. :lol:

I remember when you caught those, at Lake Perris, right? Lake Perris has some huge gills. Did you finally eat them?
